The Value Of Building Teamwork – Together Everyone Achieves More
Teamwork is defined as the ability to work together to achieve a common goal. There is teamwork in a team if individual accomplishments are directed towards organizational objectives. Building teamwork will reach a point wherein the trust account is high which results to open and mutual learning, communication and creativity and should serve as a fuel to attain goals.
Building teamwork is not as easy as it seems. It is a fact that the group consists of people with different personalities, which may appear difficult to unify. However, with the help and initiative of a leader, you should be able to meet halfway. A leader should identify a clear vision of the team. You should take time and effort to arrive at a mutually agreeable set of expectations, and this blended different personalities together. It prevents personality clashes and communication breakdowns. The clarity of goals should motivate you because you know where you are going. Also, it provides for a successful accomplishment even though the task at hand may be challenging and daunting.
Building teamwork also provides a positive relationship between team members which creates a supportive environment that can turn the most disheartening work-oriented challenges into a stimulating learning experience. It will develop you into a powerful complementary team wherein you make each other feel secure, safe, validated and affirmed of your essential worth and identity. It encourages one another and share information that will help each other in achieving the goals.
In building teamwork, you are accustomed to not only accepting responsibilities but also to being accountable for the results of your endeavors. There may be times that you will feel hurt within the team, but with teamwork, you wouldn’t allow it to distract or hinder the team’s progress. So instead of focusing your attention on that, acknowledge the teamwork by doing some team building activity like playing group games and eating dinner altogether as a team. With teamwork, sometimes the paths you take are long and hard, but often times, these are the ones that lead you to the most breathtaking views.
